Heathrow Airport - Map and Directions
London Heathrow is based just off the M4 motorway, close to where it intersects with the M25. Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are located in the centre of the Heathrow area, and directions for them are thus the same. If you aren't familiar with the routes in the area, then please see our recommended travel directions below.
From the North:
From Birmingham and the Midlands, use the M40 and follow signs to merge with the M25 heading Westbound. If you are travelling from the North East, use the A1/M1 to join the M25, also Westbound. Once on the M25, follow signs for Heathrow Airport and exit to the M4 at Junction 15. Follow the signs for Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
From the East:
Join the M25 Westbound from the A13 out of Essex of the M11. Once on the M25, follow signs for Heathrow Airport and exit to the M4 at Junction 15. Follow the signs for Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
From the South:
From South-Eastern areas follow the M20 heading towards London. Exit at Junction 3 for the M26 and follow the signs towards Heathrow/Gatwick for 2 junctions. At junction 5 exit onto the M25 towards Heathrow until Junction 15, where you exit for the M4. Follow the signs for Terminals 1, 2 and 3. From Brighton take the A23 Northbound, taking the M23 toward London until you reach the M25 exit. Follow the M25 Westbound until Junction 15, where you exit for the M4. Follow the signs for Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
From the West:
From Reading, Swindon and Bristol, Take the M4 toward Heathrow and follow the signs for Terminals 1, 2 and 3. For those travelling from the South West, take the M3 toward London and then the M25 Northbound towards Heathrow. Exit to the M4 at Junction 15. Follow the signs for Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
Terminal 5: The new Terminal 5 is also accessible via the M25, by way of a direct access straight from Junction 14.

There are three petrol stations close to Heathrow:
* Texaco on the Bath Road (A4)
* BP at Hatton Cross, Great West Road (A30)
* Esso on the Southern Perimeter Road
